September 2015: Slumps, Sickness & Slumber

You can already guess that this month wasn't a whirlwind for me and yet, I'm still shocked that September is over already!? 30 whole days just zipped by even if I was doing anything but zipping. I'm already getting my Halloween groove on just in case October ends in a flash (not that anyone celebrates Halloween in the middle of the desert but still).

September Reads:

And that's it. Damn, this is an all-time low 0_0 Only 2 books and I kinda liked them, kinda expected more. I have to admit, they were long books so I'm giving myself credit for that since I'm used to only speeding through 200-paged contemporaries. And I have yet to post reviews for these books but look forward to them this month!

In My Life:

My world was small this month. It consisted of me, my laptop, my phone, a few books and my bed. That's it. Maybe occasional trips to the kitchen but that is all. All I did was snivel, sneeze, cough and groan for 30 days. I don't know what kind of virus I caught but it was fierce and sucked up all my hemoglobin and energy. Luckily, I'm finally feeling alive now! So that means no more blogging slumps and reading slumps! I don't have school right now too (medschool starts in December for some weird unknown reason) so hopefully this month *crosses fingers* will be a successful reading month.

What Vortex Did I Fall Into This Time:

Everyone looks as distressed as I was.
Probably the only TV show I'm eager in keeping up with is back and what the heck is happening already? Yup, I'm talking about How To Get Away With Murder and ITS MANY PLOT TWISTS. I don't know anything anymore, I can't trust anyone anymore. I'm so excited about the rest of the 2nd season but I wonder if I can handle being blown away like this all. the. time.

Oh yeah and someone seriously needs to take kpop away from me. I now stan 13 groups and vote on music shows and want my favorite idols to bite me???? What does that even mean?! My favorite MV this month (and this was extremely hard to choose because there were 847284923 great comebacks) would be GOT7's If You Do because dayum! I didn't know these dorks who played with the rainbow-puking Snapchat filter a bazillion times could act so well:

That was pretty much my uneventful month. How was your September? Are you looking forward to October for any particular reason *cough* like Halloween *cough*? Was it a good reading month for you?

  2. I have yet to get sick this year *knocks on wood*. I'm glad that you are feeling much better. I'll be looking forward to your Heir of Fire review, since you only rated it three stars. I gave up on the series after book two because I decided it's just not for me. I've never watched How to Get Away with Murder. I love crime drama show, though, so I'll have to check it out :).

    1. I think it was more because they were such long books that I ended up feeling too tired to read anything else D: And ToG is good but don't go in with TOO high expectations or you might be disappointed!

  7. OMG YASSSS I LOVE HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. How are we not plot discussing about this on twitter?! I love the endless drama and twists haha, I can't get enough of it. Plus the cast are such cuties in real life. I am a bit sad that Heir of Fire only got a three stars from you but I approve of your love for Snow Like Ashes.

    1. Y'all discuss HTGAWM on twitter? :O I'll be live tweeting for next episode then! Jack Falahee gives me such a laugh but they're all so aware about social matters too. Sorry, Heir of Fire was so hard to read because of how long it was! D: It felt like it was dragging again.

  9. Oh wow. That music video. IT'S THE BEST THING EVER! Okay yes, they seem very angry, but one is basically Cosplaying Ouran so I'm not even caring. It's awesome! Recommend me all the k-pop!

I'm sick nowwwwww! *wails* And miserable. I'm trying to get as much book blogging done as possible, but I'm tired and headsore and can't keep it up for long, and reading makes my eyes sore. My state is not a happy one. Boo. I'm glad you're better now, though, and I'm happy to see you around on your blog again! Yes! Halloween! I decided the other day what I'm going to be and am just so. excited. It'll be awesome. xx

OH NO, I hope you get better soo, Romi D: I think you should rest and take things at a slow pace, though maybe not as slow as I was haha. I'm looking forward to Halloween too, hopefully you'll be in good health long before then :")

  13. I'm kind of late in commenting - as per usual, especially these last few months - but I made it and am only, like, 2 weeks late lol. Being sick always sucks, and I really hope you're completely alright now. <33
Haha, I love the part you wrote about kpop because my friend is an ENORMOUS fan of many bands, including this one. I checked out the video, and no, still not for me lol. Glad you could at least entertain yourself with music, if books didn't really work out for you last month. :)
The second season of How To Get Away With Murder is THE BEST. As the series progresses EVERYONE becomes a killer, like what the hell? The actors are more on point then ever before and also, Coliver is my otp. <3
Great post and really hope October is going alright so far. :)
